  • Worshipping Together--Finally!

Beginning on Sunday, June 14 we will FINALLY gather "face-to-face" as The Stone Church!

Here's what you need to know:

    Families Worship Together!

(We'll relaunch The Stone Quarry at some point in the future, but for now we get to worship together as families!)

    Bring Your Own Coffee!

(Believe me--we know it's vital to your survival  but...for now, you're own on your own!)

    Stay Safe!

(Only Jesus can clean your heart, but you can clean your hands and restroom surfaces...we'll provide sanitizers and wipes--you do the rest:)

    Give Some Space!

(By now, you know the deal!  Be respectful of other's preferences.  Jesus would like that!)

We'll continue to make  the service available online for those who aren't able to attend in-person. We're still working out how to make that the best experience possible, so stay flexible as we work out those details!

  • Watch our Worship Services via Facebook or YouTube

Participate in worship and interact with the message each week on Facebook Live!  It's different--but that's not bad!  Join us from your living room and get ready to "do church" in a new way!   Here is the link to  Facebook; or you can also view on our YouTube channel!

  • Men's and Women's Discipleship Groups

Welcome to The Stone Church

"What's your story?"  It is a fun question to ask people whom you meet.

Some people will raise an eyebrow and cock their head to the side as if to say, "What do you mean, my story?"

Others will go back decades to the day they were born,

and still others will share what has happened in the last few days or hours.

Regardless, when you ask that question, you get some great answers.

So, What's your story?

Why are you here?

Are you new to the area and looking to find a place to plant your life and your family?

Have you been disconnected from church for a while but now you sense something (or Someone) is leading you

to take a step in that direction again?

Maybe you've been burned by a church and you want to make sure you get it right this time?

No matter what your reason for visiting this site, we are glad you did, and we hope to meet you face-to face soon.

And don't be surprised if someone stops and asks you:  "What's your story?"

April Update

DO YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE SHIPWRECKED ON AN ISLAND?   How are you holding up?  We actually have a choice to make; we can either react or respond.  Reaction usually stems from fear while response comes out of faith. So BEFORE you do anything else, SPEND SOME PERSONAL TIME IN THE BIBLE.... the Lord's words are a life raft in troubled times! THEN,  get off of your island virtually and join with us!

So go ahead and download so that you’ll be ready to meet.  Then, on Wednesday evening, simply click on the link in the “Invitation” and it will automatically connect you to the video meeting.

PRAYER REQUESTS: If you have specific prayer requests you can email those to me at johnorr.thestonechurch@gmail.com

STAY COMPASSIONATE:

LITTLE FREE PANTRY:    Help stock the Little Free Pantry at the church!  You’ve probably stocked up on your own groceries over the last few days, but let’s not forget to help serve those in our neighborhood who may not have anything in their pantries.  Each of you is empowered to stock the LFP as if it were your own—because it is!  We may never know the difference our response to showing God’s love this way makes.

ENCOURAGE OTHERS!  By posting prayers, and scriptures, and stories on any media platform, others find HOPE.   And look around for others to help.  As you know, most people are not going to ask for assistance, so we need to be the ones who initiate!  HOWEVER, if you’re reading this and you need some help, please reach out to me so that we can do that!  It’s what we do!  Love Does!

JOIN THE PRAYER TEAM if you are a member or regular attender and wish to pray specifically for others via our Facebook Group, join the team.

WORSHIP THROUGH TITHES and OFFERINGS:  We are accountable and faithful to fulfill God's mission and to help others.   Someone recently asked "How do we give tithes if we are on separate islands"; well, you have two options (and putting it in a bottle is not one of them:)

1)    You can give online here!

2)   OR, you can mail your check to:   The Stone Church,  PO Box 207,  Taylorsville, Georgia 30178

What an adventure we are on!  God's got this and He IS working!

Upcoming Events

Hang tight while we look up scheduled events...

We are CALLED

to make disciples who make disciples

Jesus came to seek and to save the world; not merely those  who lived in those days when he walked  on the roads and paths of Judea or sailed upon the Sea of Galilee. He came with the far greater mission of bringing salvation to all people through all of history.

How is he accomplishing that task?  It started with twelve ordinary me whom He called and equipped to be his disciples--to "walk as he walked."  Then, with some of his final words to those  disciples he sent them into the world, saying:  "Go, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirt. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this:  I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

It was the mission of the original disciples.

It is still the mission of His disciples today.

A simple command with profound impact.

LISTEN TO OUR MESSAGES

"As you come to him, the living Stone, rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him--you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. "
